Topic: Liverpool FC: Cards On The Table & Reality | Footyplace

An outright honest and open assertions put forward that as a Lifelong Liverpool Supporter, from the late 1990s is where I started to feel the Manchester United dominance.

In any walk of sport, it's a human characteristic I believe in that unless, you're a fan, you hope inside that they are not infallible.

It's heavily frustrating that Liverpool have not won a title since 1990 and 23 years on are no where near. We have had to rely on:

It's simple, because unless Liverpool themselves start winning titles, this is the way it is in hoping for others. And believe, it's not an easy and a comforting experience. That said, I've always recognized the good footballing performances of United, of which would never impair in me praising them

To be honest as much as I hate seeing United win things, it doesn't bother me. We are sooooooooo far behind Utd it's unbelievable.

We're not very good and will struggle to qualify for Europe (not just CL) for years to come, unless a CL team wins the cup competitions.

We haven't made any progress under BR. We play a different type of passing game but haven't really done anything. No cup run of note. Not good at all in Europe, especially away from home. Usual domination of passing and shot stats but drop countless points to these teams. Teams aren't scared of Anfield or playing us.

The worrying thing is even if FSG invested heavily, which they won't, we can't attract top players to help us close th gap. BR doesn't look like he will be a manager top players will join our club to play for!!

I think he deserves one more window but if we're still languishing around midtable in December we need to be looking for an experienced coach. Another problem for us. Who would want the job?????? Almost every top manager ruled themselves out of the running early on after KD left.

It's a matter of sit here cross our fingers and hope BR doesn't sign the players 'he knows' and we actually have a scouting system that can pick up a few decent players. Also a big hope is that BR miracously turns us into a clinical and consistent side. Cross our fingers Suarez stays and more importantly that the likes of Chelsea, Manchester teams, Arsenal and Spurs don't invest and improve their squad further, making the gap in class bigger.

Rodgers, well don't want to completely write the guy off, but on the other hand, he's not filling me in assurance at the moment that this is the man that will guide us to places, over and beyond.

He'll be given more time, but granted, they'll be a higher level of expectation, and in comparison to this season's disappointing season if truth be told.
