European billionaire Alisher Usmanov is top of this year's Sunday Times Rich List. The 59-year-old - who features a near one month risk in Arsenal Soccer Club - is worth A13.3 thousand, according to the record, which will be published tomorrow. His business empire, which started with the making of plastic bags, runs from Metalloinvest, Russia's greatest iron ore company, to a share in mail.ru, the country's largest internet business, and a huge holding in MegaFon, a cellular phone operator which stated on the London and Moscow share markets a year ago. Mr Usmanov owns Sutton Place, the former Surrey home of the late oil baron J Paul Getty, as well as a A48 million estate in north London.
