26 April 2013 Last updated at 17:40 GMT Manchester City Ladies will participate in the top flight of the women's game for the very first time in their history. The Women's Super League has been extended into two divisions of eight and 10 teams from 2014, an increase from the prior simple section of eight. Two-time English league winners Doncaster Rovers Belles may play in the second tier included in the change. Groups could be promoted and relegated involving the two divisions but those in the second collection can't go down. The Football Association hopes that the introduction of two tiers increase competition and expand the overall game in more places. The governing human anatomy may part-fund groups in the semi-professional WSL, awarding A70,000 to groups in WSL1 and A25,000 in WSL2. Within their applications, groups had to show this criteria will be watched annually with teams and the funds will be matched by them being offered by the FA holding provisional permits to participate until 2018. City currently perform in the Premier League, which can be the department below the WSL, but will function in the utmost effective flight with Ruling champions Arsenal, Birmingham City, Bristol Academy, Chelsea, Everton, Notts County (formerly referred to as Lincoln Ladies) and Liverpool from next season. "We are extremely stoked up about the club's entry in the WSL," said Niki Taylor, Manchester City Ladies' vice-chairperson. "This is just a huge milestone for Manchester City Ladies and I speak for the entire team when I say how honored we're to participate this. "The support from Manchester City Soccer Team to get this possible is so important, and we look forward to what the long run must hold." The 2nd tier may consist of Aston Villa, Doncaster Rovers Belles, Durham, London Bees (Barnet Hamilton Academical), Millwall Lionesses, Oxford United, Reading, Sunderland, Watford and Yeovil Area. "This is a tremendous accolade for the club and one we are very proud of," said Aston Villa's leader Paul Faulkner. "At the heart of who we are as a club is the 'one club, one household' ethos and having Aston Villa Ladies Hamilton Academical competitive in the Women's Super League is a good addition for this. "We need our fan base to get in touch to the team in every its aspects and the ladies staff will play their part." The eight-strong WSL has been going since 2011 when it moved from its old-fashioned position on the football diary to a summer season, with Arsenal earning the title on both occasions. This latest move is area of the FA's five-year intend to create the game, with the governing body pledging to invest an additional A3.5m on the next four years.
