Zabaleta has been among Roberto Mancini's most constant performers in 2013 but Richards asserts he's very happy to start to see the Argentine blossom. "It is difficult to laugh when wounded but I'm never truly jealous of anyone," Richards told reporters. "He is just a quality player, Zaba. He gives 100 % constantly. He has probably been our person of the summer season up to now. "Zaba is among my close friends in the staff so to see him successful, I am most happy for him. Last time after injury I almost tried to run straight back. Now I actually do not need to rush back. I want to go on it regular and when I am contacted try to do a work. Especially when you see United top of the league, It's definitely been irritating. "After last year I thought we would have started on and maybe been somewhat better, maybe retained it. We've not done that but I do believe next year we will regroup and hopefully we will obtain it back." Despite beginning against Roberto Martinez's side, Richards thinks his first-team chances may be restricted between now and the end of the growing season as a result of Zabaleta's solid displays. "I think Zaba is certainly going to be in on Sunday after the way he has been playing but when I'm asked I'll give 100 per cent," said Richards. "For me it's just getting right back, getting some minutes under my belt, just to perform 80 minutes today was enough for me for today. "I can only keep teaching, working hard, hoping to get fitter and stronger. Hopefully I will acquire some more games before the end of the season."
