The La Lakers should beat the Houston Rockets at Staples Center to progress to the playoffs, on Wednesday if the Memphis Grizzlies are beaten by the Utah Jazz. All of it boils down for this. The Jazz have a go to beat the Grizzlies. They won their last meeting on March 16, 90-84, and they have bigs in Al Jefferson and Paul Millsap to compete with Marc Gasol and Zach Randolph in the frontcourt. Gasol and Randolph combined for 30 details and 15 rebounds in the March meeting. Millsap and Jefferson mixed for 27 points and 13 boards. The Jazz have also won seven of the last 11 games, including a victory over the Golden State Warriors. Jefferson and experienced point guard Mo Williams have taken the team throughout that stretch. A big home game was also lost by memphis contrary to the La Clippers on Saturday. I eventually don't begin to see the Jazz whipping the Grizzlies in Memphis, however. For whilst the Grizzlies are 31-9 in the home, one, the Jazz are 13-27 on the highway. Also, the Jazz aren't the Clippers, and the Grizzlies have overwhelmed the San Antonio Spurs and Houston Rockets (twice) down the stretch. But also for the sake of earning things more interesting, let's say the Jazz beat the Grizzlies on Tuesday, thus forcing the Rockets to be beaten by the Lakers. That is where things get spicy. Dwight Howard may be the key for the Lakers against the Rockets.Kevin D. Cox/Getty Photos Minus Kobe Bryant, the Lakers are certainly a totally different team. Houston also holds this year to a 2-1 series benefit. Given the Lakers' struggles on safety this season, it is no question why the Rockets have won a combined 232 items within the last few two challenges (both victories). Percent was shot 55 by the Rockets from the field in the 125-112 victory over L A on Jan. 8. That included going 11-of-25 from downtown, exemplifying the very fact that they rank eighth in the NBA in three-point percentage. On the other hand, both of Houston's wins contrary to the Lakers in 2013 arrived at Toyota Center. That is important, considering Houston is 29-12 at home and 16-24 on the road this year. Los Angeles is 28-12 at home and 16-25 on the way. Kobe or no Kobe, the Lakers should gain this matchup. Do not forget that Dwight Howard posted 13 rebounds, 28 points and three blocks in the 119-108 victory on the Rockets at Staples Center in November. Points were added 17 by pau Gasol. In Los Angeles ' first game without Bryant on Sunday against the San Antonio Spurs, Howard racked up 26 points, 17 panels, three blocks and two steals. Gasol added 16 panels and three blocks. Bob Blake came out of nowhere to drop 23 points. Points were added 15 by antawn Jamison off the seat. The Lakers have sufficient to get by the Rockets on Wednesday. It will maybe not matter if the Jazz beat the Grizzlies.
