Sunderland versus. Fulham: Final rating 2-2, clubs deservedly share points - SB Nation

Fulham and Sunderland played a sport at the Stadium of Light, with both groups deservedly getting house points in a 2-2 draw. Sunderland and Fulham enjoyed a frenetic game of baseball on Saturday, and home points will be taken by both sides after playing to a 2-2 draw. Sunderland crawled out of a 2-0 first half opening to earn the lure a casino game that featured two goals off fines, and plenty of counter attacking. Fulham got on the table rather early when Craig Gardner tripped up Ashkan Dejagah in the box in the minute. A penalty was awarded, which Dimitar Berbatov coolly transformed into set his team up 1-0. They doubled their perimeter later in the very first half when Sascha Riether won, finishing off a perfectly executed counterattack following a Sunderland place kick. That cause would not stay for long though, as Philippe Senderos was whistled for a penalty in the box only two minutes later. Gardner atoned for his earlier gaffe by slotting house the punishment, and both sides took the 2-1 scoreline into halftime. Sunderland almost pulled also right after the split, but Mark Schwarzer made a great preserve from point blank to ron Danny Graham of an objective. The Black Cats slept on the bad however, and were able to take even in the 70th minute when Stephane Sessegnon placed home a goal off a deflection in the box. Neither team was able to get the success, however, and both teams will disappear with things they probably deserve. Fulham will soon be next Saturday in action, if they host Chelsea at Craven Cottage. Sunderland also perform again on Saturday, and they will have a fantastic chance to grab three things at Loftus Road against QPR.
