Collection FC may invest major cash as Villa, Falcao, Cavani related to AFC - Crunchsports.com

System chairman Peter Hill-Wood contends the club have been in a position to pay big profit the exchange market this summer. Collection this week announced half-year profits of A17.8million to the end of November 2012 and money reserves of A123.3m. The Gunners continue to be joined with numerous players, with Barcelona forward David Villa still thought to be on their grocery list, while the loves of Napoli striker Edinson Cavani and Atletico Madrid's Adrian Lopez were rumoured to be January exchange objectives. Manager Arsene Wenger said last week the team could afford to buy Atletico Madrid striker Radamel Falcao, who'd come with a cost greater than A40m, and those claims have been backed by Hill-Wood by requiring Arsenal have the funds to compete because of their top targets. He told theADaily Star: "We are in a situation where we could take on many people. "If there's somebody we want, then your price information is secondary." Hill-Wood also defended Arsenal's position subsequent criticism over their prize famine, which appears likely to grow to nine months in 2010. "I realize that they desire everything to be won by us, but so do I. But we're in a damned sight better position than the usual lot of people," he added. And he insisted: "Let me be very clear which our goal is always to hold our most readily useful people and hire new talent to make us stronger. "Although we were unhappy to see Robin van Persie keep the club, we have taken steps to secure our most useful people moving forward and have recently signed Jack Wilshere, Theo Walcott, Kieran Gibbs, Aaron Ramsey, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Carl Jenkinson to new long-term contracts. "During this financial period we also used A40.9m in the purchase of new participants, Lukas Podolski, Santi Cazorla and Olivier Giroud, and the extension of other player contracts. More recently we included Nacho Monreal to the ranks from Malaga. "Our desire would be to make everyone linked to Arsenal proud of the team. We know that comes through successful awards but in addition through just how we do things and that will remain our constant guide." Will Arsenal invest large come july 1st? Have your say below!
