Two men have already been charged associated with the demise of a Bromwich mother, who was simply electrocuted in her own level a lot more than five years back. Former Asda staff Emma Shaw, 22, was electrocuted while cleaning up water from a leaky boiler, and died on December 14, 2007. An inquest jury decided that the mother, of Jefferson Place in Grafton Road, West Bromwich, was unlawfully killed. Team from the Crown Prosecution Service in the West Midlands viewed the case and decided there were enough grounds to offer police the go-ahead to charge two men associated with the episode. Christopher Tomkins, aged 51, and 52-year-old Neil Hoult, who're equally from Rowley Regis, have now been charged with offenses underneath the Safety and Health at The Job Act 1974. Mark Paul, place legal advisor from West Midlands CPS, said: aI have recommended representatives from West Midlands Police that there's adequate evidence and that it is in people interest to cost Christopher Tomkins and Neil Hoult with offences underneath the Health and Safety at The Office Act 1974, arising from the fatal electrocution of Emma Shaw on 14 December 2007. aThe decision was drawn in accordance with the Code for Crown Prosecutors. aThe defendants will appear at Sandwell Magistratesa Court on May 13. aMr Tomkins and Mr Hoult now stand charged with a offence and have the best to a reasonable trial.a Miss Shaw left a young boy, Brayden, who is being brought up by her former partner Andrew Cross. He was present in the family area, unscathed, after the event when he was only one-year-old.
