It's time for Arsenal to compete for Premier League titles again, and meaning it's time for Arsene Wenger and the club's board to open up the checkbook and follow a number of Europe's most gifted players in come july 1st exchange screen. That does not mean if its top objectives can not be received, though the staff shouldn't have reliable backup ideas. One choice must certanly be Queens Park Rangers striker Loic Remy. From Matt Regulation of the Mirror: Striker Remy may stop QPR by the end of the season and a launch clause in his commitment means he's readily available for only A6 million. That has informed a number of groups, including Arsenal, Tottenham, Liverpool, Everton and Newcastle. Sunday Mirror Sport Aunderstands that 26-year-old Remy has informed friends that Arsenal is his dream location. Manager AArsene Wenger is in the market for strikers and has formerly compared Remy to Gunners story Thierry Henry. That is high praise for a 26-year-old with only 12 whole appearances in the Premier League. Though, Remy has been excellent for QPR since arriving at along side it in the January exchange screen, scoring five goals in his short stint in England. Nonetheless, Remy could be a smart backup plan for Wenger if he fails to land his top goal, Fiorentina's Stevan AJovetic, or if he does land Jovetic but chooses to market Lukas Podolski, who Law notes is supposedly receiving interest from Galatasaray. Remy's design of play would match the Gunners, as he's a pacy forward that could simply take on defenders with strong dribbling abilities and a deft touch when he is on his game. Plus, he's shown the ability to be a danger in the air and may score goals in a variety of ways and from several different positions on the message. Because he is different however you like from present striker Olivier Giroud, he'd also give Wenger a versatile pair of forwards atop the team's attack. Or, if Jovetic can be authorized, Remy could slip to the side and match with Theo Walcott to offer a genuine goal-scoring risk to the staff from both wide opportunities. Plus, with a relegation condition of A6 million, bringing in Remy would be a tidy bit of business and permit the staff to target big bucks on the areas of need such as keeping midfielder and right-back. He is not Jovetic, certainly, and Wenger probably will not have the ability to wait around if he is interested to sign him, since lots of other clubs will be salivating over that relegation offer. This can be the rare case where signing the program first might actually make the absolute most sense. Remy alone will not be described as a big enough name to encourage Arsenal fans that the team will finish the trophy famine next period, but introducing him in conjunction with added strong players would be excellent business for the team. Do not be amazed if Remy is standard fixture at Emirates Stadium next year.
